Grand ArticulationSummit (GAS)
This year the Grand Articulation Summit will build on our 2017 work toward an aligned Professional Development System. Our focus this year is on the role of community colleges, universities and other providers of professional development to achieve the stages goal of a diverse and highly educated early childhood workforce. Course coordination across programs will be a focus of afternoon discussions so bring your syllabuses and schedules.There will be a breakout in the afternoon for the Oregon Campus Children’s Centers Consortium.
Infant andToddler Symposium
The Infant and Toddler Symposium offers sessions that are focused on children ages 0-3. Attendees learn strategies and methods to support young children to help them learn, grow and meet their full potential.
Saturday, April 21st
The Professional Development Institute offers sessions that can be used by caregivers, teachers, trainers, parents and others who touch the lives of children. This event brings together individuals from all types of early childhood programs and organizations who have an interest and concern for the development of young children and the field of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Keynote withCELand OCCD
We are pleased to present a keynote with speakers from Oregon’s Quality Improvement and Professional Development sectors. Come to this engaging and active session to learn about the new Core Knowledge Categories for the Early Learning Profession and Spark. Panelists include Robyn Lopez Melton from Center on Early Learning at Western Oregon University and Pam Deardorff from Oregon Center for Career Development at Portland State University.
